|FIRST DAY OF SPRING|
|till 2015 - Happy New Year|
Little Silver: More than 30 volunteers showed up at Memorial Park in Little Silver on Friday morning to do some spring cleaning. As the saying goes, many hands make light work. There was 50 yards of mulch to move and weeding to be done. The mulch was provided by the town, for the past few weeks when dead trees were taken down by DPW, they were chipped and dropped at the park.
Resident, John Bodnar, saw the work being done at the park and drove his back hoe across the street to help out with moving mulch. Countless wheelbarrow trips were made by students from Red Bank Regional HS, boy scouts, troop leaders, the Mayor and some Councilmen from town. Linda Goff and Rosemary Brewer were busy weeding and spreading mulch.
Volunteers enjoyed breakfast provided by Chef Pete Roskowinski and Councilman Jon Bitman.
