Pinsky Fountain, the fountain located at Five Points Corner at the eastern end of Broadway will be getting repairs soon. The City bonded over $100,000 for the work. The underground components of the fountain were flooded by Hurricane Sandy but will be moved above ground to prevent future issues. The City received a parts list from Georgia Fountain for over $71,000. That cost does not include installation, piping, wiring or lighting for the project. In addition, estimates for a contractor to make the repairs are around $20,000 and another $10,000 for an electrician. Mayor Adam Schneider said he would like to have the fountain completed by the end of the summer.
