**** Eatontown **** Emergency Preparations

Eatontown:  Eatontown OEM is picking up 200 sandbags from the County OEM office. They are not filled. They will be distributed on a first come first served basis.

Read the latest press release from JCP&L regarding storm preparations, emergency plans, NOAA has issued an update. Sandy has the potential for strong damaging winds up to or exceeding 74 mph over 1 to 2 days. Gusts will be higher. Extremely heavy rainfall is expected along with major coastal flooding that will be impacted by the full moon on October 29th. 

Governor Christie has declared a state of emergency. All residents are urged to do as much storm prep as is possible. Everyone should shelter inside their home and stay off the roads. If your power goes out, report it to your power providers. Remember that utility providers will not be able to go out into the storm to fix any problems until it is safe to do so. More information will be coming from county and local OEM offices.
