*** Little Silver *** OEM

Little Silver:  Little Silver residents are being alerted that there is a voluntary evacuation in place at this time. Flooding is expected to be severe and there is a strong possibility that a mandatory evacuation could be put in place by 4pm tomorrow, Sunday October 28th. All residents are urged to start taking precautions now.

In preparation for arrival of Hurricane Sandy all Little Silver Borough residents are advised to secure their property by removing all outside objects that can become airborne including patio furniture, umbrellas, toys and trash cans.

Furthermore, please do not put out leaves or brush at the curb until after the storm as these can block storm drains and cause localized flooding. Please also pull back any brush or leaves from the street wherever possible.

In addition you should prepare for unexpected power outages and flooding. Individual power outages can be reported by calling 1-888-544-4877, do not report power outages by calling the police department or 911.
