Scrooged....A Christmas Carol plays at WLB Library

West Long Branch:  Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” was performed for an audience of about two dozen younsters at the borough library’s holiday show last Monday

The play was staged by two terrific performers from the Traveling Lantern Theater.   One actor played Ebenezer Scrooge, the famous central character of the well-known Christmas tale. A second actor  played the roles of Bob Cratchit, Jacob Marley, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come, all with convincing role and costume changes.

The youngsters were enthralled, frightened a bit by Marley’s ghost, and happy with Christmas Present and the joyous wishes of the “Merry Christmas to All” ending. Parents had a good time as well, watching their kids enjoy the show.

Helping with the cast roles were Charlotte, Milea and Kallen, local West Long Branch youngsters enlisted from the audience.
