Oceanport officials say the construction of the new pavilion for Blackberry Bay Park should be complete by the Fourth of July.
Borough Administrator John Bennett said there was a conflict between the contractor and sub contractor that caused a delay in the project, but that the hope is to have it completed by July 4.
The pavilion was damaged by fire several years ago and its remains will be demolished to make way for the new structure.
The structure will cost $724,888 and will be financed with the help of a grant, bond resolution and funds from the borough's open space trust fund.
