LONG BRANCH: The Sandy Mack Band and a warm, glowing, setting sun created a festive evening at the beach for 400 visitors at the Sunday concert in West End.
A song a set by local songstress Eryn Shewell was an unexpected and exciting complement for the mix of blues and pop program. Dancers filled the lawn in front of the stage while others took to the street dance floor for a swinging good time.
The music partnership of the city supported by the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation has been a boon to residents as well as happy visitors from as far as New York and Philadelphia, as well as many Monmouth and Ocean County music lovers. The site on Brighton Avenue features restaurants and sweet treats with sidewalk table service to allow diners to enjoy the show from their tables.
Next Sunday at West End Park, the Soul Project will cause some dancing at the usual 7 p.m. time slot. Don’t miss the British Invasion group on Thursday, June 26 at Pier Village.
