LONG BRANCH: The Demolition Dogs Band took its blues and country repertoire to West End Park on June 14 with nearly 400 fans on blankets and lawn chairs to make the second evening of the popular Sunday concert series another success.
Nearly 400 fans on blankets and lawn chairs came out for West End Park's Blues By the Beach as familiar faces, regulars from the city and towns around seem to enjoy sharing the evening with lots of "good to see you" greetings and smiles. It's kind of a reunion each week for the concert-goers.
A notable feature is the way guests wear hats that catch the eye, typically western or non-formal. On Sunday there were two, both straw, one with a rose.
The music was upbeat, blues with energy, and a tinge of country.
Food and ice cream places were open and busy and the night was perfect for kicking back and listening."
