Brian Kirk & the Jirks Rock Festival Plaza

LONG BRANCH: "Oh What A Night", the song, the City, Festival Plaza and the crowd of happy music lovers were excited and delighted by Brian Kirk and the Jirks. The "Thursday by the Sea" program at Pier Village wrapped its season venue for the summer in grand style.

Cozy temperatures, a mild breeze and wonderfully warm ocean water had a few beach-goers stretching their all day at the beach experience charmed by a school of dolphins playing in the Atlantic.

The band's sounds filled the Pier Village play place as late arrivers carried lawn chairs and blankets.

Dining tables around the plaza's eateries were filled. Stores had doors open allowing music and shoppers to enter a will.

The 50-50 vendors looked for a great night too, seeking to surpass the 2014 peak of $1,100.

Mayor Adam Schneider welcomed all and reminded the crowd that in Long Branch summer is continuing a few more months for those who enjoy the fun of the oceanside.

On Saturday at the Great Lawn just to the north of Pier Village will be the long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival from 1 to 10 p.m."

The great annual event features well known jazz and blues artists, fireworks, lots of merchandise and super food stands along he Promenade at oceanside.

The VooDudes entertain at West End Park on Sunday evening, 7 p.m.

Long Branch is an all-year city.
