Building A Support Foundation

Fair Haven:  What happens when you put three friends together to help their community?  In the wake of of Superstorm Sandy, an unprecedented storm that slammed the Jersey Shore back in October 2012, Warren Diamond, Kevin Lahey and Phil Villapiano came together to help those who need help the most.  The businessman, former pro football player and philanthropist formed a foundation to help.  The Foundation to Save the Jersey Shore, Inc. has registered for a 501(c)(3) non-profit status.

Money collected will go towards assisting local families in rebuilding their lives, local businesses in rejuvinating their economic status and to help municipal leaders in rebuilding their communities.  On Saturday evening more than 200 people turned out at The Raven and the Peach in Fair Haven to show their support.  It is going to take time and money to restore the Jersey Shore, but rebuilding has already begun.   It may not look like it did before Sandy, but the Jersey Shore will be back.

The events committee put together an amazing evening with live entertainment by BBQ'd Tony, featuring Reid, Billy, Greg and Chris.  Dinner and dancing to classic rock 'n roll was on the menu.  There were boxes to be bought, silent auction items and chinese auction items.  T-shirts and hoodies were for sale to support the foundation.
