The Jersey Shore Running Club hosts the Celtic Tribute 5K on April 4 at the Long Branch promenade.
Race time is set 11 a.m. with the Kids Races going off at 11:45 a.m. Race day registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
The start line is at the Great Lawn along the Long Branch oceanfront.
The Celtic Tribute 5K was originally called the Sgt. Pat's in honor of Long Branch Police Officer Patrick King who died in the line of duty. The race benefits the PBA Local 10 Scholarship Find in memory of fallen officers, and FACES (Finding A Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures).
Saturday will be the 24th running of the race, with last year's event cancelled following the storm that raised havoc with the running track, the boardwalk at the ocean.
Traditionally, many follow the finish with a visit to the Celtic Cottage at 606 Second Avenue where a post race pasta party adds to the celebration.
