West Long Branch:The Boys and Girls Basketball Programs and the Interact Club are hosting the annual "Coaches vs. Cancer" fundraising event that will take place on Saturday, January 25th at the SRHS school gymnasium.
Shore Regional will be hosting a girls/boys double header - girls at 3:30 pm followed the boys at 5:00 pm. This will be our third year for this worthy event.
Sadly, 1 out of 3 people will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. “Coaches vs. Cancer “is making strides in order to lower that statistic. The main objective is to raise awareness and money for cancer research.
Directly or indirectly, everyone has been affected by this dreaded disease in some way. Shore is asking the community and student support in attending this event and contribute to the fundraising efforts.
All proceeds are donated to the American Cancer Society.
The Coaches vs Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The program empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer through integrated fundraising activities and public awareness campaigns.
