Contract For Second Phase of Exit 105 Improvements Awarded

TINTON FALLS: The first phase of improvements for the Garden State Parkway Exit 105 interchange have been completed and now the contract is in place for the second and final portion of the work.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority met this week and awarded a $20 million contract to Earle Asphalt Company to finish the project.

This contract includes the construction of a new exit ramp from the southbound Garden State Parkway to Wayside Road at Exit 105 in Monmouth County.

The work will include the construction of a new southbound ramp structure over Pinebrook Road and the NJ Transit/Conrail tracks and widening of the northbound and southbound Garden State Parkway local roadways to accommodate additional auxiliary lanes.

The contract also includes roadway widening and traffic signals on Wayside Road, retaining walls, sign structures, lighting, drainage improvements, maintenance and protection of traffic, utility relocations, and any other miscellaneous work necessary to complete of the project.

The start date for the work is not clear at this time, but all work is expected to be completed in June 2018.
