Council Approves Developer For 'South Beach of Long Branch'

LONG BRANCH: The city has reached a redevelopment agreement for a developer to build luxury condos in a lot located at 320 Ocean Avenue.

The lot is located at in the Beachfront South redevelopment zone so the Long Branch Council, which acts as the city's redevelopment agency, had to approve whatever is built there.

The developer, FEM South Beach, LLC, is headed by Mimi Feliciano who plans on constructing 47, $1 million units in a 8-story, 2-towered, tiered building in the next few months.

The project, dubbed South Beach of Long Branch, will feature new landscaping, infinity pools, underground parking and other luxury amenities.

The site plan, which does not require any variances, must be approved by the Long Branch Planning Board before the permitting process and construction can begin. The board is expected to hear the application on Dec. 3 for final approval.
