The following is a press release from the New Jersey Turnpike Authority:
The southbound entrance ramp at Garden State Parkway Interchange 105 in Tinton Falls will be closed overnight every night (this) week while a new ramp lighting system is installed.
Access to the southbound Parkway at Interchange 105 will be closed at 10 p.m. every night from March 6th to March 10th. The ramp will reopen at 5 a.m. every day.
The work is weather-dependent, and the closures could be postponed in the event of rain, snow, or other bad weather.
Access to the northbound Parkway from southbound Route 36 will not be affected by these closures.
Passenger cars and buses will be able to access the southbound Parkway during the closure by following a marked detour from Route 36 at northbound Hope Road to westbound on Pine Brook Road, to southbound Wayside Road. The detour route will conclude at the entrance to Route 18, where drivers will be able to use Exit 15A to enter the southbound Parkway.
Trucks, other than those making local deliveries in Tinton Falls, are not allowed on the Parkway north of Interchange 105. To access the southbound Parkway during the closures, they will be detoured onto southbound Route 18 to westbound Route 138. The trucks will be able to access the southbound Parkway through exit 35A on Interstate 195.
For real-time information about traffic conditions, drivers are encouraged to download the SafeTripNJ app for their iPhones or Android devices or call 511 from any telephone.
