WEST LONG BRANCH: The Shore Regional High School 2015 graduation at Monmouth University was a great time according to the quick student survey after gowns had been dropped off, diplomas picked up and the trek down to the MAC lobby was negotiated with the family crowds waiting for everybody.
From the top of the marble stairwell students looked for familiar family faces, their rides home.
For a few grads who stopped to let Word On The Shore about their experience, the answers were excited, happy, "Whew, it was good, really good!"
They heard the words of Principal DalliCardillo, Superintendent Thomas Farrell, and Ron O'Neill, president of the Board of Education.
"They encouraged us to keep going, and keep looking ahead to the next step, and follow your dreams," one student said.
Salutatorian Jake Friedland reminded his fellow students to take things as they come, not give up, and to keep trying and not let negative experience turn them off.
Valedictorian Milan Genovese said, "We didn't peak out at Shore, just a next step to reach for."
Shore Regional Student Council President Gina Neyhart kept smiling and and was happy throughout the ceremony.
2015 Class President Lee Manalang took a selfie with his fellow classmates on stage and told all the lead successful and important lives.
Congrats from Word on the Shore Class to the class of 2015.
