Fire-Damaged Oceanport Restaurant Set To Reopen This Year

OCEANPORT: After nearly three years, a popular borough restaurant is getting ready to reopen.

Enzo's Deli owner Sabino Portella announced on Facebook that his Italian restaurant, which was severely damaged by a July 2015 fire, will be moving to a location and will be opening later this year.

"It has been long journey for us but, we are so excited that we will be serving this great town again," Portella said. "My family has started Enzo's in 1984 and I am glad that we will continue to provide a family, friendly place to come eat and enjoy."

The restaurant will be located in the Oceanport Village Center at 113 E. Main St., less than one mile from the original location next to the Oceanport post office at 281 E. Main St.

Enzo's will join several other businesses in the center including Rogue Salon and Our Team Fitness.

Portella said he hopes the restaurant will be open by "late spring."
