LONG BRANCH: A beautiful night at Long Branch, Pier Village, the Jersey Shore, plus Joe Hughes' GOLDENSEAL Band made Thursday night, Aug. 10, a great one for the relaxing, fun-playing and jumping-up dancing in Centennial Plaza.
Restaurants at lawn side were filled with diners. and casual foods shops served lawn chair customers all evening. The energy was terrific and smiles were abundant.
GOLDENSEAL features an eight -piece group of local music makers: Joe Hughes on guitar and vocals, soloist Cyndi White, Jesse Kessler on Bass, Pat Martucci with his drums, John Bongiovanni strumming lead guitar, Tom Mears on trombone. Gabe Sanderson on the keyboard and father Lee Sanderson with his hot Sax.
The songs were familiar - Bruce Springsteen and others, with some originals by Joe, one a special about his favorite places - The Jersey Shore and Long Branch, his next door neighbor. (Joe is a West Long Branch guy, as is Tom Mears.
If you missed the show, Godenseal plays all around the area, including dine and dance places at Pier Village.
