Happy St. Patrick's Day in Ocean

Ocean: Brothers Frank and Anthony D’Esposito were honored by the Township of Ocean Community Celebration Committee on Friday evening and thanked “…for adding color and beauty to the community and to our lives.”

Brothers D'Esposito started Sunset Market  over a half century ago when the two moved to Ocean Twsp.  The business started as a roadside produce stand expanding to a thriving garden center you see today.

Anthony (Snooky) and his wife Barbara raised two children, Toni and John and have two grandchildren, Jordyn and Jaclyn.   Brother Frank and his wife Barbara raised three sons, Michael, Frank Jr. and Mark.  Their contribution to the community has included providing employment to hundreds of youth throughout the years.

The revelers that turned out to honor the brothers  and celebrate putting on the Green were treated to The Peter Smith dancers performing Irish dances to the musical sounds from A&S Sound.

The Community Celebration Committee, chaired by Councilwoman Donna Schepiga has delighted the town each year on St. Patrick’s Day. Supporting this event were the Italian American Association, Foodtown, Wanamassa Liquor Store, Falco Catering, DJ Speez and the Peter Smith School of Dance.

Committee members Margo Simpson, Karen Catizone, Rachel Goncharko, Maria Garofalo and Marianne Wilensky were thanked by Deputy Mayor Chris Siciliano and Council members Mike Evans, Bill Garofalo and Donna Schepiga.
