Holy Trinity Christmas Bazaar Draws Hundreds

LONG BRANCH: Holy Trinity Church of Christ the King Parish on Prospect Street hosted the annual bazaar and silent auction in the church hall on Saturday sponsored by the Rosary Altar Society.

Weather was mild for November and added to the crowd who came from other parishes and towns to enjoy the festivities.

Focusing on the upcoming holidays, wonderful gift baskets filled with food, beverages, clothing jewelry and more were arranged in the center room, four tables of fifty baskets each.

Business Administrator Frank Muzzi was called on to emcee the basket drawing. Each basket was labeled for a special day or even the church members enjoy during the year, including the months and certain days such as St. Patrick's Day and the first day of summer. That added to the fun of it.

Several younger church members helped out by carrying the hefty baskets to winners who waved when their number was called. It kept the event fun and went smoother for all.

The church's new Pastor Fr. Julian Diaz got the chance to meet members as delicious cakes and hot chocolate added to the pleasure of the gathering.

Mary Manna was the Altar Society Chair for this year, with past chair Barbara Heggie attending to lend support. The committee team was busy but we got a quick chance to photo some as they paused to smile and say "Mille o tante graze," Many Thanks!"
