EATONTOWN: Sunshine and blue sky over Wolcott Park on Oct. 10 made for fantastic weather at the 6th Annual Eatontown Community Day.
Several hundred children and adults took part in a variety of activities offered including kids inflatable rides, fire truck rides, a historical bus tour, a pumpkin patch and pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, and hay rides. Especially popular was kids face painting offered by the Eatontown Education Association (EEA).
Several borough organizations including the Eatontown Historical Museum and the Tenants Rights Committee were also on hand as well as a number of businesses. The Eatontown Lions Club was one of several food vendors that kept those attending well feed. Entertainments was provided throughout the day and concluded with a performance by Taylor Tote.
Eatontown Mayor Dennis Connelly noted that, "Eatontown Community Day was fantastic this year."
"The weather was perfect which always plays a big part of the success of the event," Connelly said. "I want to thank all of our Borough Departments for stepping it up to ensure a great time for our residents and guests. The music, food, rides and vendors were better than ever. The best part of the day is seeing friends, local business people and neighbors enjoying a day in our beautiful park".
