Long Branch Boardwalk Ribbon Cutting

Long Branch: The final stretch of new boardwalk is complete and will officially open this Friday, May 25th with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The official unveiling will take place at 10am at Melrose Terrace @ Ocean Ave.

The ribbon cutting marks the final work on the massive rebuild of the city's oceanfront boardwalk that runs from West End through Pier Village and connects to the Promenade ending at Seven President's Park. The aging boardwalk had extensive damage following Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Rebuilding didn't begin until 2015 with Long Branch being the last city to rebuild their boardwalk after SuperStorm.

This Friday will mark the last segment of the 1.2 miles of boardwalk that was rebuilt following the storm.
