Long Branch Class of 2014 Ready to 'Achieve Greatness'

LONG BRANCH: The Long Branch High School Commencement Ceremony was held on June 20 as the class of 2014 walked out onto Bresett Stadium for the last time together.

Lead Principal Vincent Muscillo congratulated the graduates and applauded the efforts of the outgoing years for their four years at the high school.

"They demonstrated camaraderie and genuine care for each other despite any obstacles," Muscillo said.

Student Council President Santos Astacio spoke about the importance of leaning through difficult times.

"It is only with adversity that we have a chance to achieve greatness," Astacio said. "Don't let anyone stand in the way of your success."

The school's salutatorian, Amanda Vidal, and valedictorian, Luiza Pessoa Guazzelli, also spoke and encouraged their fellow graduates to remember the good time they shared together and enjoy the next step in their lives.
