Long Branch Library Yard Sale a Success

Long Branch: The Friends of the Free Long Branch Public Library held their first annual yard sale fundraiser on Saturday August 18, 2018 to raise money for the Long Branch Library.

From the sale's opening at 10:00 A.M., excited shoppers sorted through the collection of assorted, interesting articles. Some were of vintage description, some unusual in attraction, items from the past and likely "family treasures".

Many of the shoppers came also to bring their own donations of articles to be sold for the fundraiser.

Dozens of visitors made the event profitable and possible. Over one hundred people visited the yard sale, many of which purchased items. Among them was library supporter Mayor John Pallone, as the sale raised over $150 for the Library.

The fundraiser was led by the Friends President Alice Kessler with a special thanks to members Grace Chen, Eileen McDermott, Adam Ponsi, Regina Sieben and Sue Sherill. The team volunteered their time to make the event a success.

WOTS "Thanks" to Adam Ponsi for his assist in this report.
