LONG BRANCH: The second week of December was the Senior Center's Bazaar, a chance for members to raise funds from handcrafted treasures to benefit the needy and the veterans. This year the weather was excellent, and the crowds responded most positively with hundreds of lunch time buffet customers and craft lovers.
Center Director Pat Krosnicki was delighted with the event she holds in special regard, the chance for her seniors to show their talents for the good cause. Sweaters and light jackets were the order of the day fashions, not the usual December cold weather wraps and boots.
Several city Council members joined the fun crowd and other city staff were among the customers as their noon lunch break fit the bazaar schedule well.
