Long Branch Senior Center Swings and Sings for Holidays

LONG BRANCH: Christmas songs and danceable tunes for swinging held the ninety seniors busy for the afternoon following a palate pleasing luncheon and fun friends for dining. "Songs and a saxophone" one danseuse termed the busy dance floor goings on, the annual Holiday Celebration open for all the community.

The purpose of the Senior Center on Second Avenue is to enrich the life style of members at a place made just for them, the seniors of the city. The 90 to 100 guests enjoyed every minute with the Dorian Parreott musical group providing a full range of music to sing to or dance to.

The Center Staff and volunteers served the noon time diners a meal from soup to salad, the main dishes of kitchen prepared delights and desert that pleased the palates.

The Center has a reputation of being excellent with the programs hosted all year, cards, exercise, special speaker programs and those special celebrations like Valentine's Day, St. Patty's, Veterans Day or you name it.
