Long Branch Summer Concert Series Schedule Released

LONG BRANCH: A packed summer concert schedule has been released by the city and shows that residents and visitors alike will have plenty to do this year.

The concerts are sponsored in part by the Long Branch Urban Enterprise Zone and are held throughout the summer in West End, Pier Village and the Broadway area.

The first concert will be held in West End Park as part of the Blues By The Beach concert series on Sunday, June 8. The Philadelphia Funk Authority will be playing at 7 p.m.

The other Blues By The Beach performances are as follows:

July 13: Gas House Gorillas

July 20: Saron Crenshaw

Aug. 3: Jimmy Pritchard

Aug. 10: Rob Paparozzi

* Rainouts will be held at Jack’s Goal Line Stand at 149 Brighton Avenue

The Thursday By The Sea concert series will be held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in Pier Village:

June 12: Tim McLoone and The Shirlleys

June 19: Burger and Burtnik Beatles Tribute

June 26: British Invasion

July 10: Motor City Revue

July 17: The Nerds

July 24: Sirius Orchestra

July 31: Jobonanno

Aug. 7: After the Reign

Aug. 14: The Doughboys

Aug. 21: Bob Burger

Aug. 28: Brian Kirk and the Jirks

The Downtown Tuesday Nights concert series will be held on Tuesdays in July at 7 p.m. on the Broadway Stage behind Brookdale on Broadway:

July 8: Rave On

July 15: Special Request

July 22: Madison Avenue

The Long Branch High School Jazz Orchestra will also be performing on the Broadway Stage on June 24 at 7 p.m.

Other events include the 20th Annual Cruise to the Jersey Shore on June 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Great Lawn in Beachfront North. The Belmonts will perform during the car show.

Another car show, West End Cruise Night, will be held on Aug. 16 from 6-10 p.m. in West End. Familiar Faces will play in West End Park, The Cherubs will perform on the main stage and Reanna Runge ft. The Brooklyn Bridge will also be part of the festivities as a special guest.

The Long Branch Jazz and Blues Festival will be held on Aug. 23 from 1-10 p.m. on the Great Lawn. The festival will feature vendors, jazz and blues artists and fireworks at the conclusion of the evening.
