Long Branch's Biggest Summer Event Returns July 4

LONG BRANCH: The city's biggest event of the year is coming back for its 25th year on Saturday, July 4.

Oceanfest, an oceanfront festival with music, food, vendors and fireworks will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., rain or shine, along the half mile stretch of the Long Branch Oceanfront Promenade from Pier Village north to Seven President's Park.

"Oceanfest showcases the best of Long Branch and the best of the Jersey Shore", said Nancy Kleiberg, Executive Director of the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce and Oceanfest co-chair. "Whether you are strolling the Promenade, sampling the great food or watching your child in awe of the fireworks, Oceanfest is summer in New Jersey,"

The festival will feature musical performances by Rave On, the Sam Haiman Band, Valarie Adams & the Dimensions, Predator Dub Assassins and Mad Satta at the Great Lawn Stage beginning at 12:30 p.m. Oceans of Rhythm will also be performing at the Garfield Memorial Stage at 4 p.m.

The Garfield Memorial Stage will also showcase a wide range of children's entertainment, including a pirate show, circus performers, balloon artists, strolling cartoon characters and a wizard show.

The grand finale will take place at 9 p.m. with a large fireworks display synchronized to patriotic music.
