Long Branch's Oceanfest Returns July 4

LONG BRANCH: The city's largest event of the summer, Oceanfest, is coming back for the 24th time on Friday, July 4.

Oceanfest will be held on the half-mile stretch of the oceanfront promenade between Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park and Pier Village from 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

The summer festival will feature food, handmade arts and crafts, sand sculptures, themed children’s shows and activity areas and music. The night will be capped, as always, by a big fireworks display on the beach performed by International Fireworks at 9 p.m.

“Oceanfest showcases the best of Long Branch and the best of the Jersey Shore” said Nancy Kleiberg, Executive Director of the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce, in a release. “Whether you’re strolling the Promenade, sampling some great food or watching your child in awe of the fireworks, Oceanfest is summer in New Jersey."

Cashmere, Rave On, Valerie Adams & the Dimensions and Mad Satta will perform on two stages throughout the day. Children’s entertainment will also be going on during Oceanfest and includes live pirate and cowboy shows, circus performers, balloon artists, strolling cartoon characters and face painters.

Oceanfest is sponsored in part by the City of Long Branch, Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce, Ocean Place Resort and Spa, Monmouth Medical Center, Monmouth University, Pier Village, AJD Construction, TD Bank and Comcast.

For more information on Oceanfest and available sponsorship opportunities, please contact the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce at 732-222-0400 or This Is It! Productions at 201- 653-2699.
