Lower Broadway in Long Branch is Setting for TV movie

LONG BRANCH: The orange traffic cones between Second Avenue and Memorial Parkway outlines the site of a TV movie scene for a Discover ID show about a crime in the 1960's that occurred in Arizona, one of the site prep people told Word On The Shore on Sept. 4.

The location is not a strict simulation but emulates, roughly the environment where the crime took lace. Not perfectly, but close, he said.

Vans and trailers with movie sets began arriving in early morning on Thursday, although an advanced security guard arrived about dark on Wednesday. Shooting will finish by midnight on Thursday.

Long Branch police are providing assistance through volunteer overtime by off duty members. The TV Company pays for them. Traffic was flowing all morning.

Motorists should expect delays and detouring around the area.
