Major Tinton Falls Crash Under Investigation

TINTON FALLS: Police are investigating a crash that left one man injured last Friday.

Police responded to the scene of a crash during the early morning hours of March 18 on Shafto Road.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a Manasquan resident driving a 2007 Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound and a Long Branch resident driving a 2002 International Truck was traveling southbound and attempted to make a left turn into a lot near Mazza's Recycling.

The two vehicles impacted at this time and the Manasquan resident sustained multiple injuries and was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center.

The Monmouth County Serious Collision Response Team (SCART), The Tinton Falls OEM, Tinton Falls Fire Companies, Tinton Falls EMS and MONOC assisted with the scene also.
