Despite the obvious choice between choosing the person who will be running for president this year, Monmouth County voters will also have some decisions to make on the municipal and state level on June 7.
There will be contested races for the U.S. House of Representatives (4th District) and Monmouth County Freeholders as well as some contested borough council seats.
In Sea Bright, three Republicans are running for the chance for grab two spots on the borough council. Incumbent Councilman Brian Kelly and newcomer Jennifer Walsh as well as Charles Murphy. No Democrats have filed nominations.
All the other local council primary races are uncontested, but it will give voters a preview of the names they will see on the November ballot.
