More Car Burglaries in Ocean; Owner Carelessness at Blame

Two more car burglaries and broken out car windows happened on May 3 at about 3'00 PM AT Wayside Park on Green Grove Road. Purses left in the seat in clear view were the likely reasons for the robberies, a not rare temptation for the culprits that take advantage of careless car owners' bad habits.

In this case the robber was observed by a witness in plain sight, a brazen act, by a person described as a black male who left the scene in a Dodge with out of sate plates, Pennsylvania it was reported.

Police Officer John Goncalves responded to the citizen's report. Police Det. Gregory Martone is handling the case and asked that anyone with additional information to contact the police. Police advise everyone to lock their vehicles and do not leave personal property, a frequent temptation, in view for all to see.
