Motor City Revue Gets Crowd Dancing In The Streets At Pier Village

LONG BRANCH: Pier Village's Festival Plaza was filled with Motown and music from the '70s on the evening of June 25 with the exciting Motor City Revue band.

The occasional drop of rain didn't scare away the crowd which energized the band with an enthusiastic "welcome back" for the returning music sensation who brought oldies and hits from the Roundels', The Supremes and other stars from decades ago.

Songs like "Daddy was a Rolling Stone" and the rock favorite "I Feel Good" got things going. Dancers of all ages stepped out onto the dance surface in front of the stage with fast stepping feet and hips gyrating to the beat of familiar rhythms.

The show stopped around 8-ish with heavy rain drops. But the summer night was not over as many headed for the restaurants and to the boardwalk for a stroll as the skies slowly cleared. Unfortunately, just a little too late for Motown City Revue to rev up again.
