NJ Transit Train Hits Car, Causes Delays Throughout Line

A car was struck by a train in Bradley Beach on Monday morning, Dec. 18.

Although service resumed around 1:13 p.m., the accident is still causing delays along the North Jersey Coast Line.

According to New Jersey Transit, the 1:10 p.m. train from Bay Head is was cancelled and customers will be accommodated by bus service. Some earlier trains running between Long Branch and Bay Head were also delayed due to the accident.

The incident is under investigation by New Jersey Transit and car's occupant was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Neptune Township EMS
