No Decision On Mad Hatter's Return To Sea Bright Until 2016

Many businesses opened and reopened in Sea Bright in 2015 including Donovan's and Tommy's Tavern and Tap.

However, one hopeful returning business will have to wait until 2016 before finding out about its future in Sea Bright; The Mad Hatter On The Jersey Shore.

The restaurant, located at 10 E. Ocean Ave., has been closed since it was severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and the owner is now back before the Sea Bright Planning/Zoning Board looking to obtain approvals to reopen in the same location, but at a higher elevation.

The board last heard the application on Tuesday, Dec. 1 and no decision on the site plan or any of the requested variances was made. It is unclear when the matter will be heard by the board again, but it will likely be in early 2016.
