Ocean Police Issue Residential Burglary Alert

Ocean: The Township of Ocean Police Department has investigated a number of residential burglaries that have occurred over the last seven months in the Wayside Section of the Township. The burglaries are occurring when the houses are unoccupied, primarily during the weekends and involve forced entry via rear windows.

Police are reminding residents to ensure that windows, doors and other means of entry to the home are locked and secured at all times.

Police are also asking residents to report suspicious activity as soon as it is observed rather than waiting to the end of the day or any length of time to report it.

Anyone observing suspicious activity, persons or vehicles in their neighborhood should immediately notify the Township of Ocean Police Department at 732-531-1800, or the Crime Tip Hotline 732-531-3323, or by email to www.CrimeTips@oceantwp.org . All information will be kept confidential.
