Long Branch's 27th Annual Oceanfest is a family-friendly celebration, Tuesday July 4th from 10 am to 10 pm, rain or shine, along the half mile stretch of the Long Branch Oceanfront Promenade from Pier Village north to Seven President's Park.
With musical performances by Goldenseal, Rave On, Stone Flower, a Santana Tribute Band, Predator Dub Assassins and Valerie Adams & the dimensions, on the Great Lawn Stage starting at 12:30 PM until the fireworks, you can rock to the beat of the day.
Children will gape at the Magic Shows, Fire Eaters, Costume Characters, Jugglers, stilt walkers and balloon artists. All at the Garfield Memorial stage on the Promenade beginning at 11:30 am. Great time for family photos!
Oceans of Rhythm will return this year at 4 PM all at the Garfield Memorial Statue.
Praise Dancers (10:30 a.m.) and Capoeira Set Nascente USA (3:30) round out the entertainment.
Hungry? With over 30 food vendors, there is plenty to choose from.
Want to bring home something more than a tan and some sand? Over 100 arts and crafts vendors will have something for everyone.
"Oceanfest showcases the best of Long Branch and the best of the Jersey Shore", said Nancy Kleiberg, Executive Director of the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce and Oceanfest co-chair. "Whether you are strolling the Promenade, sampling the great food, wondering at the sand sculptures or watching your child in awe of the fireworks, Oceanfest is summer in New Jersey!" she added.
Then as the day comes to a close and the sun sets, Long Branch's spectacular fireworks begins just after 9 p.m. Simulcasting on Q104.3, with the best of a rocking patriotic musical display, sit back and relax on the beach or on the Boardwalk to see the fantastic display!!
