OT Cops Get Narcan (Heroin Overdose) Kits:CLICK HERE

Ocean Township: Chief Steven R. Peters has announced that the Township of Ocean Police

Department is among one of the first law enforcement agencies in the county to become

equipped with Naloxone ( Narcan).

 

The Narcan kit cost about $31 each and will be funded and supplied by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.

The drug, in the form of a Nasal spray, reverses the effects of an overdose from opiates such as heroin.

Ocean Township Police Captain Michael Resetar, demonstrated how Narcan is used to other officers this week. Trained officers will be carrying the kits effective immediately.
