Outpouring Of Support For Long Branch Family Killed On New Year's Eve

LONG BRANCH: Ever since the tragic New Year's Eve shooting of four people in a city home by a 16-year-old boy, their has been an outpouring of support from the public

Steven Kologi, 44; Linda Kologi, 42; Brittany Kologi, 18 were shot and killed by their son/brother on Dec. 31 at their Wall Street Home. The boy also killed family friend Mary Schultz, 70 of Ocean Township.

On Jan. 1, another family friend, Brian Yunker, created a GoFundMe page to help pay for funeral expenses for the family. The shooter's brother and grandfather survived the shooting and will need all the help they can.

Linda, Steven, and Brittany were all beautiful people with the kindest hearts you could imagine," Yunker said. "All donations will go directly to a proper burial."

As of 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 2, the fundraising effort has raised nearly $19,000 of its $20,000 goal. Click here if you would also like to donate.
