Person Killed By Train ID'd as 21-Year-Old Woman

LONG BRANCH: NJ Transit has identified the person who was struck and killed by a train near the Elberon Station on April 17.

NJ Transit Spokesperson Nancy Snyder told NJ.com that the body was identified as Samantha Morales, 21, of Jackson.

The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. when Morales was allegedly "trespassing" on the tracks and hit by a train headed for the NJ Transit Bay Head Station. It is unknown if the incident has been classified as a suicide.

No other injuries were reported in the incident, which is still under investigation.
