Person Struck And Killed By Train In Long Branch

LONG BRANCH: A person has been struck and killed by a train in the city on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 17.

The incident occurred just south of the Brighton Avenue railroad crossing around 1 p.m.

According to NJ Transit's web site, North Jersey Coast Line service has been suspended between Bay Head and Long Branch due to a "trespasser fatality." Buses are being ordered to take passengers to their scheduled stop.
