Plan For Salon, Apartments Next to Ron's Pub Presented

LONG BRANCH: Plans for the empty lot next to Ron's Pub on West End Avenue were presented to the public on Sept. 22.

The developer, 95 West End Avenue, LLC, made a presentation before the Long Branch Zoning Board of Adjustment. They are looking to build a 2-story building that will have a salon on the first floor and two apartments on the second floor.

The applicant needs a use variance from the board because 95 West End Ave. is located in a residential zone and the applicant is looking to build a commercial use.

The vacant West End School, Ron's Pub and several homes are also located in the area around the lot.

The board did not make a decision on the application and it was carried to the Oct. 27 meeting.
