Police Searching For Long Branch Bank Robbery Suspect

Investigators are trying to identify the armed suspect who got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Long Branch bank, announced Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

At about 8:54 a.m. Friday, March 6, a man entered the Kearny Federal Savings Bank in Ursula Plaza, 444 Ocean Blvd., in Long Branch, demanding money and brandishing a handgun. A bank teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash before he exited the building and fled on foot in a westerly direction.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, with a thin build, about 5'6" to 5'8" tall. He was wearing a black mask and a black sweatshirt with "Brookdale" printed across the chest area.
