The following is a press release from the Ocean Township Police:
Our local meteorologists continue to watch the system that will arrive from the southwest late tonight. With temperatures around or just above the freezing mark, intermittent periods of sleet are possible after 3 a.m., and may continue into the am hours on Monday.
By late-morning on Monday, any precipitation is expected to change to plain rain. Scattered coating of sleet plus patchy ice will be possible by 11 a.m. Monday morning. Monday night, there will also be the potential for a returning shower, which may briefly mix with sleet.
Needless to say, please budget a few extra minutes in the morning. While traveling if your wipers are on your headlights should be on and please reduce your speed when traveling in sloppy weather conditions.
