Retired Long Branch Police Captain Dies at 61

The following is a message from the Long Branch Police Department's Facebook page:

It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our Brother, Retired LBPD Captain Gilbert Horrach #186, a truly devoted Officer through and through.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving family and friends in this ever so difficult time. Rest in peace Captain. Your watch is done.


Horrach, 61, died in Long Branch on Sunday, May 31.

His obituary has not yet been published on the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral's web site, but the site does state that his visitation will be held at the funeral home, located at 10 Morrell St., on Thursday, June 4 from 3-8 p.m.
