Sairs Avenue Road Work Begins Oct. 8

LONG BRANCH: Phase 1 of the Sairs Avenue improvement project will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The work will consists of the replacement of 2,500 linear feet of concrete curb, 1,000 square yards of sidewalk and aprons, two drainage inlets, 270 linear feet of drainage pipe, 7,000 square yards of pavement milling and other repairs.

Officials say there will be times during the construction where only local traffic will be permitted to access the street.

The work is expected to end around Nov. 5.
