Santa Kicks It Up with Rockettes at RMH

Long Branch:  Santa Claus, a few elves, and two Radio City Rockettes made their way from distant lands to visit friends and families at the Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch for an afternoon of holiday, fun, cheer, and excitement.

Detective Dave D’Amico, President of PBA 256, and Detective Sergeant Barry Dubrowsky of the Forensic Unit, work with Lynne Siedentop of the Ronald McDonald House to bring everyone together during the busy holiday season.

Children of all ages and were treated to a photo with the Merry Band.  After visiting, each child was given a special package that contained: monsters, a tambourine, a hat, and other holiday goodies.

Chef Pasquale Sciarappa prepared a full lunch menu putting together the recent improvements made by Lowes Home Improvement Center.    On the menu was pasta, shrimp, chicken, and several famous desserts, including Tiramisu.

Though Santa and the Rockettes only spent a short time with the children, the event carried on throughout the afternoon.

It should be noted that Radio City Rockettes alternate between the New Brunswick and Long Branch Ronald McDonald House and that this year the dancers came to meet and greet family, friends and children in the Long Branch location.

This event brings to a close a very busy year for the Ronald McDonald House. Look for more fundraisers and annual events to be held at the Ronald McDonald House early in 2013.
