SEA BRIGHT: After being flooded for hours due to this week's nor'easter, the main artery through town has reopened.
Floodwaters have begun to recede and the Sea Bright Police Department has now reopened Ocean Avenue to all traffic. The decision was made to close the road around 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24, but it is now open as of 9:55 a.m.
The severe wind and rain caused by the nor'easter flooded many of the borough's streets, keeping many residents from getting to work or sending their children to school. As a result, all Sea Bright students who attend Shore Regional were excused from classes today.
