Shade Tree Mechanics Rock West End

Long Branch: It was Sunday in the city, Father's Day, at the West End Park where the rock band Shade Tree Mechanics went on stage at the band shell to entertain the 250+ visitors with music to jump to. The summer is here in Fun City, as retiree Barry Stein likes to call it. He was there in the crowd enjoying it all.

The 50-50 was back with money being raised for the Jazz and Blues Org that keeps the musicians on line. The tickets were going well as has been the case. On later summer nights the drawing runs in the $300 to $450 range.

Father's Day was gorgeous weather-wise, and the food and drink shops on Brighton Avenue were serving up some fine fare with tables bustling with patrons on the sidewalks and inside too.

Next music at the park is Wednesday, June 20, with great music by the LB High Soundwaves Band at 7pm. A real winner show for sure...Always is.

Then on Thursday at Pier Village Centennial Square there will be the Motor City Review, also at 7:00pm.
